About Me

I wrote this blog so that I might be able to give someone some hope that they may be looking for. We all look for some type of hope in our lives every day.

What does it hurt?

Hi everyone, I hope this don't offend anyone but I feel the need to say this. So here it is.
What does it hurt to believe in God, he represents all good. Wouldn't it be better to be safe and be able to go to heaven than to be sorry and have to spend eternity in hell.
If everyone believed in God and did what his word tells us we need to do there would be peace, love, we would help one another, there would be no killing, no sadness, no hurt; it all sounds good to me. I really don't see how that would hurt any of us individually or as a nation. I don't think there would be no where near the problems we have now, in the world, if any problems at all. There would be no more poor people because the rich would give generously to those less fortunate, there would be no hunger because everyone would help feed those that are in need, no killings because there would be no hate.
Now to me that would be great. To be able to go about your day and not have any worries. Or to be hurting because a child is out there homeless, hungry or what ever it might be, or someones adult son or daughter is out there alone with no one to care about them or they have to die alone because they have no family out there that is still alive. If we all would just believe that there IS a God we could be there for each other!!

Why I am writing this blog

I started this blog so I have a way to tell others what God has done for me. I know some may think you can do that with the people you come across and meet in your everyday routines, that is true. But what some of you might not realize is some people are talkers and some are quiet. In person I am a quiet person, but online I can talk. I love to share with others the blessings that God has given us and I love to help other get through their hard times too. And this is a way I can do that. God has opened this door for me so I can share with others the things he has done for me. He also has opened the door for me to make some much needed money online, I am a stay at home mom with 4 kids 2 of them are not in school yet, my husband does work but what he makes is not enough at times; he works alot and does not have much time for us or himself, he gets just enough time for sleep to help him get through his work day, and I have prayed for God to open a door up to help us make it through and to help me find something I could do while I am home with the kids, and he has opened that door for us, I don't make much but every little bit does help.
One thing I would like to say to those that read my blog is that my prayer is that it blesses you and helps you. And one other thing I want you each to do is look at the positives in life not the negatives (count you blessings not your problems) and you will make it through anything with Gods help.

Inspirational Words, Favorite Prayers, Hymns and Poems

"In dwelling, be close to the land. In meditation, go deep in the heart. In dealing with others, be gentle and kind. In speech, be true. In ruling, be just. In daily life, be competent. In action, be aware of the time and the season." - Lao Tzu Commentary:I often find myself obsessing on things which don't really matter. This passage, taken from "Tao Te Ching," reminds me that the basic principles of life can and should be simple.

HEAVEN'S GROCERY STORE

I was walking down life's highway a long time ago.
One day I saw a sign that read "Heavens Grocery Store"
As I got a little closer the door came open wide, and when I came to myself, I was standing inside.
I saw a host of ANGELS, they were standing everywhere.
One handed me a basket and said "My Child, shop with care".
Everything a christian needs is in that grocery store, and all that you can't carry, come back the next day for more.
First I got some PATIENCE, LOVE was in the same row.
Further down was UNDERSTANDING, needed everywhere you go.
I got a box or two of WISDOM, a bag or two of FAITH, I just couldn't miss the HOLY GHOST, it was all over the place.
I stopped to get some STRENGTH and COURAGE to help me run this race.
But then my basket was getting full, and I remembered I needed some GRACE.
I didn't forget SALVATION, which like the others was free, so I tried to get enough of that to save both you and me.
Then I started to the counter to pay my grocery bill, for I thought I had everything to do my MASTER'S will.
As I went up the aisle, I saw PRAYER, and had to put that in, for I know when I stepped outside, I would run right into sin.
PEACE and JOY were plentiful, they were on the last shelf.
SONG and PRAISES were hanging near, so I just helped myself.
Then I said to the angel, " How much do I owe?"
The angel smiled and said, "Just take them everywhere you go."
Again, I politely asked, "How much do I owe?"
The angel smiled again and said, "My Child, Jesus Paid Your Bill A Long Time Ago."
"ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER YOU SHALL ASK IN PRAYER, BELIEVING, YOU SHALL RECEIVE."
Matthew 21:22

prayers

Loving Father, I offer you everything I do this day -- my thoughts, works, joys and sufferings. I desire to join my heart this day to the heart of your Son, who gave himself up totally to your service and to the service of others. Give me your Spirit so that I can live like him, joined to his offering in the Eucharist.

my testimony

Beliefs express themselves in all aspects of a person's life, and it can give them hope. I'll use this page to describe how my own convictions have influenced my life and how they shape my daily activities. For instance, I might describe how my belief system has inspired me to help people that may be in need, or give me hope to continue on. Or I might talk about how my relationship with my children has benefited from my beliefs.

Having my beliefs has helped me believe in God to give me hope and help me conquer every day life challenges. It gives me hope and the will power to get through the tough times. It also helps me with raising my kids, by letting me realize that things will not go the way I want them all the time and that we all have difficulties in our lives and as long as we stick together we can get through it.
If we all could just be there for each other during each of our hard times we all can make it through with the Lords help. We need to pray for each other and ask God to give us strength to get through our time on earth and we need to remember that we are not the only ones going through trying times and when we are down God is always there to see us through. He puts people in our paths to help us in what we do and give us hope when it is needed. I ask that when you pray for your selves to also pray for others that may be having trouble too.

sharing my faith

Faith and belief is a very important part of our lives. A person's beliefs in many ways define who they are -- how they see themselves, what they want out of life, and more. I want to offer a personal account of my own beliefs. I'll describe how my beliefs have changed my life in profound and exciting way. Many of us associate our most deeply-held convictions with a single, life-changing experience. Others have always held certain beliefs sacred. In either case, it is important to talk about our experience and share our story or testimony with others. Doing this I think might change the lives of others. I was introduced to church when I was a child. My parents was not involved in a church, but I had the blessing of having neighbors who were and invited me to join them at their church. I remember visiting with my neighbors alot; they became my second family. I continued going with them to church for several years until shortly after they moved.

Now I would like to tell you about the first time I heard God speak to me, it is a time I will never forget. At the time this happened I was well on the wrong path of my life. Ok now back to the testimony, I remember that my dad was burning some things and my sister and I was helping him, I had some shoes on that were hurting my feet, so I took them off, and continued to help. Well somehow even though I was standing a good distance away from the burn pile some hot ashes fell on my foot; and you can believe it or not but this is what truly happened, I heard "Do you want to feel like this for eternity". Then I felt the burning and no matter what I did, weather it was run cold water on my foot or put ice on it I could not get it to quit burning. After a while it did quit burning and I did not have any blisters or anything there to show that I got burned. So I knew that it was God speaking to me and that I need to straighten my life out. I did do just that, I went back to church and did what I was told to do. Now I wish I could say that I stayed doing that but I didn't I ended up falling out of church again but I didn't lose sight of God, I still talked to him and still looked at things in a Godly manor. As I got older and had kids I started to realize that I needed to get back in church and raise my family in a good environment, so I tossed that thought around for years and kept fearing of finding the wrong church. See I wanted to make sure I would find one that was teaching Gods Word, we all have to be careful because it is easy to get into a church that only picks a few verses out of the bible and turns them around to say what they want it to say.

So after years went by and I moved around alot, my friend, my family and I started talking about how we all wanted to find a church home so we decided that we would look together and we tried a few and they just didn't feel like home until we found the one we are going to now.

I have many testimonies to tell, this was just one I will share those stories with you at another time keep in touch to see them, thank you in an advance.
