Yoga in Singapore

Yoga seems to be pretty popular in Asia - I guess it is a more glamourous alternative to sweaty jogs outdoors in humid Singapore! And yes I have tried running in Singapore in the middle of the day - not recommended.

I have only tried a couple of yoga places in Singapore - Pure Yoga in Takashimaya and True Yoga at Raffles Place. I now go to True Yoga, because I felt the instructors were better and overall it was a cheaper package. But if you prefer really nice changing rooms and nicer facilities (e.g. Pure sterilises the mats after every yoga class) then Pure might be the way to go.

In any case, I have been going to True Yoga for 2 months now and I'm still enjoying it - although I do feel quite old when all the Aunties surrounding me seem to be able to bend over backwards whilst I struggle to perform downward facing dog without feeling the need to faint....

Bangles in Little India!

Ok so I have managed to find a great little bangle shop, where they co-ordinate bangles with your outfit! Very cool, and incredibly cheap at $3 per set of approx 10 bangles!

Address: Amba Ji, 171 Selegie Road, Little India (ask for Vinod)

If you are a big fan, you can join his facebook group - Bangles by Vinod.

These are some of the collections he made for me:

Great places to buy shoes in Singapore!

Well a friend recommended me this place: Red Carpet (58 Club Street).

Fantastic prices. I didn't see a shoe over $120 (SGD)! And the quality is pretty good.

AND they create Christian Louboutin look-a-likes (I know its not the same thing) but... at $118 it ain't bad!

Beauty Tip # 1: The Express Manicure!

One too many times I have visited the beauty salon only to then chip/ scuff/ completely ruin my manicure within 5 minutes of completion!

But - finally, a solution!

They now sell nail polish stickers, that are easy to apply and actually look just as professional as the real thing! The downside - they can be expensive (I saw them selling for $17 at Sephora Ion) and if you have large nails the stickers may not be big enough... but it's a step in the right direction!

Great for those who are time precious... or clumsy like me!
